Alan has been a licensed South Carolina real estate Broker since 1981. He holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from Fordham Law School and was admitted to the N.Y. Bar. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Peru and, later, was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

On Hilton Head Island Alan was named REALTOR of the Year and has served as President of the Hilton Head Island Association of REALTORS as well as Chairman of the Grievance and Professional Standards Committees. Alan recently chaired the HHIAAR task force which revised the Association's recommended contract of sale. He is also Past President and Youth Exchange Officer of the Sunset Rotary Club.

Deanna taught school in Cleveland, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois, for many years before she and Alan were married and had children. On Hilton Head Island, while rearing their four children, she participated in numerous school, church, and charitable activities. She also has had extensive experience in Retail Sales Management. In 2000 Deanna became a licensed Realtor and she and Alan became THE COYNE TEAM.

Alan and Deanna have four wonderful children, all of whom graduated from local schools. The eldest is an international attorney in Paris. He is married and has three children. The next, their only daughter, lives in Bluffton with her husband and two children. She does marketing for The Coyne Team and is also a freelance writer. The third is a wine salesman in Savannah. The Coynes' youngest son, Matthew, recently decided he wanted to join in the family business. He became a licensed Realtor and is now the third member of THE COYNE TEAM. He is enjoying meeting new people and helping clients find their dream homes.

Deanna and Alan spend most of their leisure time enjoying their family and many friends on Hilton Head. They love the beach, biking, sailing, gardening and dining at the numerous great restaurants in the area.
